Congratulations to The Ransom family!!!
The Ransom family; Brian, his wife, Roberta and their three children, ages 11, 8, and 3, were joined by many friends, family, and community supporters as they received the keys to their new home. Brian and Roberta have worked hard to complete 400 hours of 'sweat equity' time, a basic tenet of Habitat for Humanity. They will also repay a no-interest mortgage over a period of 25 years, illustrating Habitat for Humanity's objective to give families a "hand up" rather than a "hand out".
The next Habitat home will have it's walls raised in early 2010. There are a number of ways that you can help out with the Habitat homes in Marana. Please visit http://www.habitattucson.org/marana for more information. If you would like to make a cash donation, you can do so by going to the website to donate. Make sure to select the "Marana Home" so that your donation will go directly to the homes in the Town of Marana.
